We received a message from one of our readers requesting us to answer one article entitled “Quran Difficulty How many times does a person die and live?” This article takes certain Verses from the Noble Qur’an, along with some Ahaadeeth, and tries to present the Qur’an as sowing confusions with respect to this issue. We begin in the name of Allah the Exalted. May Allah bless and grant peace to the leader of the Creation Muhammad , and on his Family and Companions until the Day of Judgment. We ask Allah to keep us away from knowledge that is not beneficial, and may increase us in (useful) knowledge that will be an adornment for us in this world and the next. Continue reading

بِسْمِ اللَّـهِ الرَّحْمَـٰنِ الرَّحِيم

In the course of the various discussions Muslims have with non-Muslims, one of the questions presented before us goes something like this: “So let me get this straight. You Muslims say that your God creates people and their actions, and then He sends them to Hellfire? Do you know how silly that sounds?” Continue reading

The following is one answer to a question posed by one of our members concerning the interpretation of Verse 35:41 of the Qur’an, and what to make of this Verse when compared with modern scientific knowledge. (Draft Article) Answer to an Objection about the Qur’an and the creation of the world in ‘six days’

(Please read the notice concerning our draft articles and works)

By the MuslimAnswers.net Team

بِسْمِ اللَّـهِ الرَّحْمَـٰنِ الرَّحِيم

Statement: Dr. Naik claims that when the Bible says the world was created in six days it is talking about 24 hours days, while when these same claim was plagiarized by Muhammad and rehashed in the Quran it suddenly changed its meaning to “periods of time” or “epochs”. Why a day in the Bible and a day in the Quran should be different is something only Dr. Naik knows. Despite that the universe was not created in epochs.

Answer: Before we say anything about this matter, we have to stress the proper way for a discussion to progress is not to say outright that the founder of our religion is a liar and that he has copied from some or the other source. Continue reading

بِسْمِ اللَّـهِ الرَّحْمَـٰنِ الرَّحِيم

The following is a question posed by one of our members regarding the ‘Qalb’ [translated variously as heart, mind, etc.] and how the Muslim scholars understand the mention of the ‘Qalb’ in the Qur’an and the Ahadeeth, and whether this is taken to refer to the physical heart, or to something else. (Draft Article) On the Punishment of the Hellfire, Verse 4.56, and Pain Sensors in the Skin

(Please read the notice concerning our draft articles and works)

By the MuslimAnswers.net Team

بِسْمِ اللَّـهِ الرَّحْمَـٰنِ الرَّحِيم

Statement: Dr. Naik claims that no one knew that skin has pain sensors and everyone used to think that pain is sensed by brain. That is rubbish. The truth is the reverse. The function of brain in sensing pain is a recent discovery. Pain was felt where pain was applied. In the old days people thought the function of brain is to cool down the body like a radiator and heart is the thinking organ. Continue reading
